2021 NFL preseason schedules released: Dates, times, TV channels


The NFL released preseason game plans Thursday and Detroit Lions sticks to Detroit in two of them.

The Lions play two games at home and one on the way in August:

The preseason was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns. Now, with this year’s transition to a 17-season regular schedule, the preseason has been reduced to three games.

There will be five national television broadcasts game:

The regular season starts on Thursday, September 9 as Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Cowboys. The Lions open the season against San Francisco 49ers on September 12 at 13 right here in Motor City.
