A BOOK star emerges from the rainbow cup separator

NEWS: The Sharks were forced to adjust their backline before clinching the Rainbow Cup against the Bulls in Durban.

Springbok winger Makazul Mbembe, who was originally named to start with the No. 11 jersey, withdrew from the team due to injury.

On Thursday, Sharks coach Shaun Everett said Mapembe pulled his leg “rigid” in training. At the time, Everett suggested that the BOOK star would be fine to play against the Bulls

Anthony Voulmink will now move from the right wing to the left wing with Werner Cook taking over the number 14 shirt.

The Sharks also confirmed the bench for Saturday’s game, which features Thomas du Toit and Ox Enshi.

The Sharks and Bulls go to penalties to decide who will face Benetton at Treviso, Stadio Comunale di Monigo, in the Rainbow Cup Final.

The Bulls have a four-point advantage before their trip to Durban, but the sharks can sneak ahead and travel to take on the Italians.

One bonus point would probably be enough for the bulls, given the difference in points between the two highest points.

Sharks must aim to win bonus points, while leaving the bulls empty-handed if they want to reserve their spot without having to rely on tie breakers.
