Ask POD: Detroit Lions offseason training summary

With Detroit Lions Capping mandatory minicamp on Thursday, offseason activities are almost complete for the team. About half of the players will return next week for a set of organized team activity drills focusing on the younger players on the list. For us, fans and the media, this means that the next time we see this team take the field is at the end of July for training camp.

So now it’s finally time to stop, breathe and just absorb everything that has happened this crazy offseason. A coach and GM search, a trade with the team’s franchise quarterback, filling in the rest of the coaching staff, a top-10 pick in the draft and a period of free agency that saw a your of the roster overturned. It’s exhausting just to think about it all.

On Saturday morning, let’s all get together for a little talk about it all. In the app Locker Room, myself, Ryan Mathews and Erik Schlitt will host a show where we take live questions about all the things that are in the Detroit Lions. Want to know about observations at minicamp? Fair play. Want to know our favorite / least favorite moves this season. We have arrived. Heck, if we get enough good questions, we can also start making weekly mailbag posts on the site.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Download the Locker Room app (now available in beta for Android!)
  2. Add @PrideOfDetroit as a friend (You may need to search “Jeremy Reisman”)
  3. Open the app at 10:30 AM A Saturday, June 12th.
  4. Listen live, chat in the chat room, or send a request to join the show.

If you are unable to attend live, you can still attend by asking questions. You can do so by either simply adding it to the comments section below or tweeting on @PrideOfDetroit using the hashtag #AskPOD.

See you on Saturday!
