Charles Barkley is perhaps the most critical – and slammed and laughed at – golf, but he loves the game and that’s a good thing on our part. He is working hard to get better.
With the NBA playoffs heating up, Barkley and his hosts are busy on the set of the popular TV show Inside the NBA on TNT.
Next month, he’ll appear again at the American Century, the premiere celebrity golf tournament held annually at the scenic Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
Owned and broadcast by NBC Sports, this will be the 32nd year of the $600,000 made-for-television event, but also raises money for local and national charities. The tournament is a modified Stableford 54-hole format. It’s not uncommon for Barkley to finish last on the field of 80 golfers.
Prior to the event, Barkley spoke about his game, new swing coach Phil Mickelson, and the NBA playoffs.
