EC3 will compete on the Ring of Honor’s first live show in over a year.

ROH has announced that EC3 will meet Flip Gordon at his best in the world pay-per-view on July 11th.

That announcement from ROH’s website is as follows:

EC3 and “The Mercenary” Flip Gordon have done business together and been reluctant to tag teammates, but they have never been friends.

At the world’s best pay-per-view on Sunday, July 11 at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, EC3 and Gordon will be opponents.

During EC3’s rivalry with Jay Briscoe, “The Essential Character” hired Gordon to cause Jay and Mark Briscoe to lose a No. 1 candidate’s tag team match in February.

This incident led to ROH’s board making a match in which EC3 and Gordon fought Briscoes a few months later. At the time, EC3 and Jay Briscoe had earned each other’s respect, so EC3 was not happy when he was told Gordon had used a chain on Mark Briscoe to secure the win.

EC3 confronted Gordon in the ring a few weeks later and delivered an ominous message in four words: “You have been warned.”

In addition to being personal, this match may also have implications for the ROH World Title image. Gordon owes a title shot and is No. 3 at the current standings; EC3 recently said that his mission is to become ROH world champion.

Does EC3 score an important victory? Or will “The Mercenary” break EC3’s title hopes?

Join us live in Baltimore, on pay-per-view or streaming to HonorClub to find out!

With the addition of this match, the updated map contains three attacks:

Brody King vs. Jay Lethal

EC3 vs. Flip Gordon

Last man standing match: Josh Woods vs. Silas Young
