Federer, who withdrew from the fourth round match scheduled against him Matteo Berrettini at Roland Garros This weekend, he’s gearing up for his fourth championship of the year. The 103-time title winner took Haley’s title when the tournament was last held in 2019.
Federer boasts 19 Tour titles on the lawn and a game record of 187-27, for an Open Era win percentage of 87.4% on the roof.
Explaining his decision to withdraw from Roland GarrosLast Sunday, Federer tweeted: “After discussions with my team, I’ve decided I will need to withdraw Roland Garros Today. After two knee surgeries and over a year of rehab, it’s important to listen to my body and make sure I don’t push myself too quickly on my way to recovery. I’m thrilled to have three matches under my belt. There is no better feeling than being back on the field.”
