GNB Voc-Tech boys volleyball beats Taunton for 11 straight wins


The GNB Voc-Tech boys’ volleyball team eliminated former undefeated Taunton 3-2 Thursday night to claim the Bears’ 11th straight win.

The group scores were 27-25, 23-25, 25-19, 26-28, 15-13.

Abdul Jarad Laguerre was powerful all around with 20 kills and 24 digs. Luis Cortijo Jr. was also impressive with 17 kills, six blocks and 16 digs while Ethan Fagunds contributed 12 kills and 14 digs. Lyric Delaleu had seven blocks. Alberto Gomez made 49 assists and made 16 drills.

The Bears (11-2, 7-2) host New Bedford on Monday.
