A fun school badminton tournament was held in Carmax on May 12th.
Basically with Covid and limited events, country schools are not allowed into Whitehorse for events.
Dawson, Farrow, and Bailey were unable to attend but Watson Lake was able to attend with 18 students.
In total, 30 youngsters participated in the tournament which consisted of a full day of Rodin’s Tour to play the divisions and then the playoffs.
Six youths received Yukon badminton masks for sportsmanship and fair play.
“It was so much fun, the kids were just ecstatic to do something after a tough year they’ve been through.” said Brad Maines of the Tantalus School in Carmax.
