Indian tennis player Kedambi Srikanth on Wednesday defeated Denmark’s Anders Antonsen in his first group stage match in the ongoing BWF World Tour Finals. Antonsen defeated Srikanth 15-21, 21-16, 21-18 in his first World Tour Finals match and Shutter will be looking to take the winning momentum forward. The entire match lasted for an hour and 17 minutes. Srikanth came out with all guns blazing in the first match giving his opponent no chance, wrapping up the match 21-15 within 22 minutes.
In the second match, Antonsen managed to turn his fortunes around and won 21-16 to take the match to the third and playoff game. With the winning momentum on his side, Antonsen took advantage in match three and came out with a win in the match.

PV Sindhu is the only Indian to win the BWF World Tour Final as she has come so far in 2018. Kidambi and Sindhu are the only two players from India to take part in the current tournament.
The tournament is played by eight top-ranked players in the World Tour rankings in each of the five events: men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
The eight entries are then divided into two groups of four. Group matches are played in a round-robin format, with the best contestants in each group advancing to the semi-finals.
Earlier this month, Srikanth withdrew from the Thailand Open after his roommate Sai Praneeth tested positive for the coronavirus.
