CIF Champion Mira Costa Boys Football, Volleyball Highlight Area All-CIF Selections – Daily Breeze

Mira Costa midfielder Michael Crecera has been named Division One Southern Division Player of the Year.

Crisera and the Mustangs won their first-ever CIF-SS Championship this season. Gary Smith of Mira Costa has been named Division I Coach of the Year.

Join Crisera in the All-CIF Division 1 while honoring his teammates: Jack Crawford, Ben Moglia and Thomas Southey.

In Division 3, Turner Crump, Garrett Ritchie and Stephen Alvarenga of West Torrance earned CIF honors and in Division 6, Maximiliano Marola, Maximiliano Marula of Wiseburn Da Vinci, and Nicholas Guerica Fortune Udoh were CIF picks.

Charles from El Segundo received the highest honors at the CIF-SS

Chelsie Charles helped lead the El Segundo girls’ soccer team to the CIF-SS Division 4 Championship and the emerging striker was named the division’s Player of the Year.

El Segundo’s Skip Jones was the Division 4 coach of the year. Trinity Parascandola, Annika Nelson and Natasha Lee received All-CIF honors.

In Division 2, Redondo’s Ava Watson and South Torrance’s Ella Kosoft were CIF picks along with Mary Star’s Maddie Purves, Haley Doyle and Claire Bobbitt in Division 7.

Children’s volleyball from Mira Costa tops the All-CIF Awards

The Mira Costa boys’ volleyball team was well represented in the All-CIF SS Division 1.

The first player outside of Ben Coordt was named Player of the Year and Avery Drost was Coach of the Year as the Mustang won its first CIF-SS Championship since 2012.

Seniors Troy MacDonald, quarterback Jim Garrison, and Libero Austin Steward are all-time winners of the CIF Awards.
