Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is back in action against the Sacramento Kings after being out for 40 days with an ankle injury.
The four-time NBA champion played 32 minutes, during which he scored 16 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and 7 assists. However, his team ended up losing the match 106-110.
It was the first time that James played alongside Anthony Davis and Andre Drummond. After the game, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked about these three players who play together.
“I’m very encouraged by what that looked like,” Vogel said. “There were a lot of good sequences with three of these guys. The rhythm and timing are off.
“It will take time for them to get used to each other. It will be an adjustment period. I am very disappointed in the loss but I am encouraged by what these three will look like together.”
By losing this game, the NBA champions further complicated their chances of moving up the standings. They remained 5th in the Western Conference but are now 6 wins behind the Nuggets and only 1 win over the Mavericks.
