Diogo Dalot was called up to the Portuguese team for the Euro 2020 despite the fact that he never once had a senior performance for his country. That changed against Germany and he played again tonight against France.
It has been a great experience for the Manchester United defender, who spent last season on loan at AC Milan, too plans for him to return to Carrington for pre-season training.
Seeing him represent Portugal in the Euro could give manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær food for thought. It would be great to see a player return from a decent loan (AC Milan) as a better player after getting more playing time under his belt.
Dalot came off the bench against France and wasted no time after the match in sending one reaction when Portugal reached the knockout stages via Twitter.
Today will remain forever in my memory as the day I completed a dream 🙌
What an honor to represent my country in the final of a European and get a passage to the eighth 🇵🇹
Thank you all for the support. In the field, we feel each of you ❤️ pic.twitter.com/UKrw3YuyXC

He can only learn more by reaching the final rounds of the euro.
