Tokyo 2020: Qatar beach volleyball team withdrawn to Group C
Qatari beach volleyball duo Sharif and Ahmed in Group C have been withdrawn from the beach volleyball competitions of the Tokyo Olympics, which start on July 24 in the Japanese capital.
The lottery was held in Moscow on Monday. Younes and Ahmed, world number 3, are in world group 5 Jacob Gibb and Taylor Crabbe of the United States, world number 18 Adrian Carambolla, Enrico Rossi of Italy and world number 19 Adrien Heydrich and Mirko Gerson of Switzerland.
Twenty-four teams are divided into six groups of four teams each. The best two teams from each group and the four best third-placed teams from all six groups advance to the Round of 16.
The world’s first Andreas Mall and Norway’s Christian Sorum are located in the swimming pool A.
