I’m pretty sure you did not miss it, but there was a pretty damn good football game last night.
The euro is coming to an end, but what an end to the competition we have.

Italy beat Spain in penalties last night after what was a magnificent football match, neither side deserved to lose, and it was Chelsea’s vice-captain Jorginho who took the lead to score the decisive penalty.
But it was fame for our captain Cesar Azpilicueta, who unfortunately was on the losing side at night.
However, there was an unsung hero for Italy who might have done as much for his club as he did for his country last night, and that was the good performance from Emerson Palmieri.
Chelsea have brought him to market this summer, but they are said to have to shell out 25 million euros to sell him. This seems a bit steep for a player who has pretty much just been a third choice back to the club in recent times.
Emerson starts for Italy tomorrow night.
Roma have contacted Chelsea to sign him. Chelsea ask for € 25 million (£ 21.4 million).

But his appearance for Italy in the showcase last night would certainly have helped Chelsea’s cause to get as much money for him as they possibly can, with a number of interested teams in Italy.
Emerson picked up a number of gears and really made sure he got to his country last night. He really deserves the next move to be his best and he deserves to get more playing time, there really is a decent player in there and he is always selected in the Italian team.
The next few weeks will be interesting to see where his future goes.
