Roger Federer, 20-time Grand Slam champion, He suffered a shock loss in straight sets to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz The Swiss star was knocked out of Wimbledon in the quarter-finals on Wednesday. Hurkacz managed what no one else could in the past – beating Roger Federer 6-0 in a set at Wimbledon. After his defeat, as Federer walked off the center court, the fans in attendance gave the legendary star a standing ovation. Surprised by the result, the sports fraternity took to Twitter to respond to Federer’s sudden exit from Wimbledon. Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh was among the first to respond to the match.

Famous cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle also couldn’t fathom the fact that Federer lost the set 0-6 on grass.

In the match, Federer was outmatched in the first set, which Hurkacz won 6-3 in just 28 minutes.
The second set saw Federer hit back and push the 24-year-old Polish opponent to break the tie. Federer eventually lost the tiebreak 3-4.
As Hurkacz was nearing a big win, Canadian tennis player Eugenie Bouchard tweeted that she’s turning off her TV because she can’t watch Federer slip into the Wimbledon quarter-finals.

In the final set, Hurkacz didn’t give Federer an inch as he booked a spot in the semi-finals with a landslide victory over one of the game’s greats.
