Who is the funniest team you’ve ever known?

Definitely Chris Dray. He’s the clown on the team. He’s always making jokes, always funny, and always playing the weirdest music – anything from reggae to music mixed with funny lyrics. He’s a clown, but he’s a good guy.

Which pranks can you share?

In the Sevens series, if you leave your door open, you can be sure that your entire room will be flipped over and you won’t find anything in that room. You’ll get some messages written with toothpaste on the mirrors but that’s all I can say about clean mirrors.

What nicknames?

Tarzan after the movie. Guys called me because they saw me running like a monkey. I’m from South Africa where the bushveld is very thick and thick and where all the baboons come from.

If your house was on fire and everyone was safe, what would you save?

Other than my dog ​​and my wife, it’s probably my gun. I’m a big hunter – I really like shooting and hunting and things like that.

Well, since they came to South Africa, Krispy Kreme – the best donut ever! That and proper, decent coffee… We keep calm, we keep calm. Coaches don’t always know this, but there are a few of our teammates (Blitzboks) who started a coffee brand.

Cecil Africa with Kyle Brown and Philip Sneman started 18 coffee. It’s great, great coffee. It’s only in South Africa at the moment, but it’s one of the best coffees I’ve tasted.

Are you an entrepreneur?

I’m a little small, but I always want to try and help them. But maybe I’ll start my own wine – maybe that’s on the table.

If you had one superpower what would you have?

I want to be able to transform into everything I touch. So if I touch metal I can turn into metal. If anyone comes against me with fire, if you touch me I will become fire. It is spacious, but very cool.

Who would you like to be stuck in an elevator with?

My best friend must be Quaga (Smith). I don’t have any characters like heroes or Marvel characters that I want, but he’s a great friend and you can sit there.

He’s always my roommate, because I know if he’s not my roommate he’ll mess up my room!

If you could be any of your teammates, who would it be?

I think it’s probably Cecil Africa, because he’s very fast. He has vision. He’s always thinking two or three steps ahead. He has a rugby brain that I’ve never seen in my life and the intelligence he has in rugby is amazing.

I think he will be a great coach one day. It is exceptional. enormous.

Any fears or phobias?

clowns. I’m not a big fan of clowns. It is based a little on childhood experience but mainly on movies and stuff. like this movie, He. She – It took me a while to get into it.

any problems?

In the game, everything is fine because I know it is part of the game. But outside the field or if you just want to chill with your friends and they want to come and annoy you, just look for a fight. I have a bit of a short wick when it comes to this.

Maybe the rock, I think he’s pretty good and I’ve also seen that he loves to fish too. Kevin Hart, just because he’s so funny. And then maybe it’s Chris Hemsworth, because at this point he’s got such a good head of hair!

The most important person on your phone?

My wife, Zanika. She always gives me good and bad feedback. It’s like my coach at home. She watches the match a lot and her father was actually one of the biggest shirt collectors in South Africa – he probably has over 500 shirts.

How would you like to be remembered?

As a nice person and in rugby, as one of the toughest workers. So he is a good guy on and off the field.

And what do you want to achieve outside of rugby?

I just want to be happy. I don’t want to be rich or anything like that – I want to be on a farm, I really want to start farming and keep going.
