Bayley‘s damage reported earlier on Friday shook the SmackDown women’s division and put a wrench in the Money in the Bank plans. Bayley was put to face Bianca Belair to the SmackDown Women’s Champion at the event on July 18, but due to an ACL injury during training, she is now out of action for at least nine months.
WWE authority Sonya Deville had to find a suitable replacement for Bayley now that she is unable to compete. Before Deville announced his announcement, Bayley had a few words to say to the WWE audience.
What happens now with the SmackDown Women’s Title fight? It’s not on anymore Money in the bank short, but will be the July 16 episode of Crack down, the first show left with a live audience. Belair faces and defends his title against a former SmackDown Women’s Champion and twice the money in the bank winner – Carmella.
The most beautiful woman in the entire WWE gets the chance to become a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, which means she will no longer be in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Before Deville could announce the last part, one annoyed Liv Morgan went to the ring. She was tired of seeing Carmella get extradition opportunities while she herself has earned them.
Deville then cracked back at her, letting her know she should have let her quit. Because Carmella has been pulled out of the MITB match, Morgan is now inside. As Morgan leaves with a smile on her face, she says she hopes Carmella defeats Belair so she can win the briefcase and make money on her.
This, of course, captured Bianca Belair. She says she would like to take Carmella as her challenger. She sends a message to Bayley that she is looking forward to ending their feud when she returns.
