Lazio is said to be eyeing a deal to sign the Juventus defender Danielle Rugani.
Biancoceleste recently agreed that the old lady’s former manager Maurizio Sarri would take over as club director, and is now said to be eyeing one of his former stars.
Chains coach Rugani is not only known since his time with Juventus in the 19-20 season, as he also coached him while coaching Empoli between 2013 and 2015, and is allegedly a fan.
Rugani has been a non-favorite in Turin for some time, having fallen behind Giorgio Chiellini, Leo Bonucci and Matisse de Ligt, leading to him leaving to join two different teams on loan last season, but where he would lead his trade this season is still unknown at present.
TuttoSport (via Lazio 24) claims that Lazio Sporting manager Igli Tare also has an interest in the defender as well, and with Sarri now in charge, a transfer appears to be more likely.
I don’t imagine that Max Allegri will have much trouble with Rugani’s departure, or who will join him, but with two years remaining on his current contract we should be able to get a fair wage for a strong defender, with that money to help invest in other areas of the squad.
