Plans changed for WWE Draft, the date revealed for the “season premiere” on Monday Night Raw

The plans have been changed to the WWE draft.

Food Men Pro Wrestling podcast host Andrew Zarian reports that the WWE draft has been moved to a later date and that it is now signed for October.

Zarian set October 1st and 4th or October 4th and 8th for the WWE draft by two nights. The original plan was for the WWE draft to be held on August 30 (Raw) and September 3 (SmackDown).

Zarian also said that the October 4 episode of Raw will be billed as a “season premiere”, so it is possible that they would like to keep the draft of the show until the following week so they can promote two major Raw shows in instead of one for that month.

There is a lot of pressure from the TV networks to get ratings up for both main programs, so expect more theme shows to be announced in the coming months.
