The Open: Where and when to watch it on TV in the UK

After being postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 149th Open is finally over – and for British golf fans, there’s only one place to watch all the action live on TV!

Sky Sports, which has shown the tournament since 2016, offers over 50 hours of live coverage over the event’s four days, as well as dedicated programming surrounding this year’s men’s final tournament.

Their cameras will be training for Ireland’s Shane Lowry as he looks to successfully defend the title he won at Royal Portrush in 2019.

Out to deny the Irishman is a cast of the game’s best players, including world number one Dustin Johnson, recent US Open champion John Ram, and Rory McIlroy, who are seeking to end a no-win drought in the majors that runs into 2014.

Who will raise the claret decanter and become the “New Golfer of the Year Champion” at Royal St George this weekend? Unless you’re one of the lucky few with a ticket, there’s only one place to watch all of this happen in real time.
