Here we take a look at Sky, BBC TV and Radio coverage of this year’s Open Championship from Royal St George’s.

Open Championship It returns in 2021 after being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The venue at Royal St George’s and Shane Lowry is still once again the title holder for an event that should provide some quality golf.

It’s been 10 years since the Open went to Kent Golf, and Darren Clarke won by three strokes again in 2011.

Jon Ram will be looking to win back-to-back Majors titles after winning the US Open, and Phil Mickelson, who finished second in 2011, will try to add to his PGA Championship win earlier this year.

Unfortunately, Hideki Matsuyama, the Masters champion, will not be on the field after testing positive for Covid.

TV coverage of the 2021 Open Championships

Once again, Sky Sports will have full television coverage of The Open, which will be their fifth tournament after taking over from the BBC in 2016 in Troon.

Sky will provide live coverage of all four rounds from firing the opening tee at 6.30am on Thursday, all the way to the finish at 7pm on Sunday.

Radio coverage open championship 2021

BBC Radio 5 Live will have extensive coverage of this year’s tournament via both the 5 Live Sports Extra and the 5 Live main. Expect to hear from golf reporter Ian Carter, Andrew Cotter and Jay Townsend.
