The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar and Avesh Khan have been disqualified from the upcoming five-match Test series against England. Opener Prithvi Shaw and middle class batsman Suryakumar Yadav were named as alternates. The name of Jayant Yadav, who has also been touring, does not appear in the updated collection. BCCI also reported that Rishabh Pant joined the Indian team after recovering from Covid-19. Furthermore, Abhimanyu Easwaran has been added to the team from the list of reserve players.
